Angie Greaves is a Music Presenter on the Radio who joined Magic FM in 2006 to present the station’s evening show. She then re-joined the station in 2015, hosting the weekday afternoon show and bringing her signature mix of music, chat, and interviews to new listeners.
Angie is also known for her voiceover work and has lent her talents to various advertising campaigns, television shows, and documentaries. She is currently the Vice President of the TRIC (TV & Radio Industries Club) Awards, and founded her own digital book club.
Throughout her career, Angie has advocated for diversity and inclusion in broadcasting and served as a role model for young women. Angie has also supported numerous charity initiatives promoting youth development and mental health awareness.
Angie remains a pioneering and respected figure in the industry, continuing to inspire people with her authenticity, passion, and spirit.
Background (Before 1998)
Born on 10 January 1962 in London, Angie Greaves rose to prominence as a radio presenter and voiceover artist. She began her career in broadcasting in the early 1980s, working in local radio before moving to the BBC.
Angie became known for her warm and engaging on-air presence, earning a reputation for her distinctive voice. In the 1990s, Angie became one of the first black women to host a primetime show on a mainstream radio station.
By 1998, Angie had solidified her place as one of the most respected figures in British radio, not only for her talent but also for helping to break down barriers for black women in broadcasting.
